10/29/08 Paula Radcliffe and Kara Goucher will be on hand at Niketown (6 E 57th St) New York this Thursday, October 30 at 6 p.m. The two world-class runners will talk about their training and preparation for this weekend's race. Thursday's free event at Niketown is open to the public ­ for those planning to participate in the marathon and for those who are simply passionate about running. In addition the event will celebrate the hard work and commitment of all those who plan to run in Sunday¹s event, as well as provide some last-minute tips and race advice, compliments of these elite runners. A training run will depart from Niketown immediately following the event at 6:30 p.m.

10/27/08 Tim "T-Bone" Arem, M.Ed., will be making his third Run with Champions appearance in Central Park. On Thursday, October 30 at 8 am, T-Bone will be warming up, running and performing his motivational fitness for 1,000 children in New York City. "We are very pleased to bring the leader of youth fitness entertainment back to our Run with Champions event. He really entertains, inspires and educates the children," said Cliff Sperber, New York Road Runners Foundation executive director. 10/24/08 Marathon week in New York will get off to its traditional big start on Sunday with more than 6,000 runners expected for the Poland Spring Marathon Kickoff in Central Park. The course winds its way around the park finishing near Tavern on the Green and the marathon finish line. A week from Sunday an expected 39,000 runners will hope to cross the same finish line at the ING New York City Marathon.
