Allyson Felix appointed to President's Council on Physical Fitness, Sports and Nutrition
Three-time world champion sprinter Allyson Felix on Wednesday was one of several luminaries introduced by First Lady Michelle Obama as a member of the President's Council on Fitness, Sports and Nutrition. Joining Felix at the event was USATF President Stephanie Hightower.
USATF Partners with Wildwood Ranch at USA Outdoor Championships
DES MOINES - U.S. track and field stars Kerron Clement, Natasha Hastings, Ginnie Powell-Crawford and National Track & Field Hall of Famer Dan O'Brien participated Wednesday in a Win With Integrity event at the Wildwood Hills Ranch in St. Charles, Iowa. This special occasion was held in conjunction with the 2010 USA Outdoor Track & Field Championships, June 23-27 at Drake Stadium on the campus of Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa.

Two-time World Outdoor silver medalist Lashinda Demus led wire-to-wire in winning the women's 400m hurdles in a world-leading 52.82 at the Golden Gala , the fourth stop in the IAAF's Diamond League, in Rome. Demus' time is the six-fastest ever run by an American.
Lagat named Athlete of the Week
INDIANAPOLIS- Bernard Lagat has been named USA Track & Field's Athlete of the Week after setting the American record over 5,000m Friday at the 2010 ExxonMobil Bislett Games in Oslo, Norway.
