Elite athletes from ZAP Fitness, a USATF Elite Development Club based in Blowing Rock, N.C., concluded their 2006 racing season with several personal bests, club records and quality international racing.

ZAP Fitness Athletes who saw action at the AT&T USA Outdoor Track & Field Championships in Indianapolis included 5,000 meter competitors Kyle King and Thomas Morgan, who finished ninth and 15th respectively.

To conclude their season both Morgan and King traveled to Belgium as part of a developmental tour funded by the LDR Division of USATF. While there, Morgan and King posted personal bests for 1,500 meters of 3:40.97 and 3:42.28, respectively, in Gent. Morgan also went on to run personal bests of 13:40.55 for 5,000 meters at the KBC Night of Athletics in Heusden, as well as the 2,000m (5:05.6), which also placed him among the top 20 all-time U.S. performances at that distance.

ZAP Fitness was founded by 2005 USA Women's Marathon Championships Runner-Up Zika Palmer in 2001. More information on ZAP Fitness can be found at www.zapfitness.com.
