U.S. stars to take on world's best at World Athletics Final

Look for 2004 U.S. Olympic medalists Dwight Phillips, Joanna Hayes, Terrence Trammell, Toby Stevenson, Maurice Greene and Adam Nelson among others to compete against the world's best athletes September 18-19 at the 2004 IAAF World Athletics Final in Monaco.

Event winners in Monaco will each receive $30,000, with $100,000 going to anyone setting a world record.

Top U.S. stars expected to compete include 2004 Olympic gold medalist Dwight Phillips (M Long Jump), Joanna Hayes (W100m hurdles), Otis Harris & Derrick Brew (M400m relay and Tim Mack (M pole vault). 2004 Olympic silver medalists expected to compete in Monaco include Terrence Trammell (M110m hurdles), Toby Stevenson (M Pole Vault), Adam Nelson (M Shot Put), Otis Harris (M400m), Matt Hemmingway (M High Jump) and Maurice Greene (M4x100m relay).

Other top athletes expected to compete in Monaco include four-time world 110m hurdles champion Allen Johnson, who fell during the semifinal round at the Olympics and bounced back to take a Golden League win in Berlin over the weekend.
