INDIANAPOLIS - USA Track & Field has unveiled a
new-look Web site highlighting the updated brand, image
and look of the organization, at www.usatf.org/ Foremost
among the new features of the site is an improved and
expanded online store.
Sporting a completely redesigned home page with new and
exciting imagery that reflects the many constituencies of
track & field, race walking and long-distance running, the
redesigned Web site was unveiled in late May to coincide
with the invitational meets on USATF's Golden Spike Tour.
The Tour began May 22 with the Home Depot Invitational
and continues at the Nike Prefontaine Classic June 19, the
final Golden Spike Tour meet before the U.S. Olympic Track
& Field Trials July 9-18 in Sacramento, Calif.
The new look adds visual appeal to a web site that has
always been content-rich. Most appealing to visitors may be
the new online store at www.usatf.org/store. USATF is
now offering scores of new products never before available
to the public, including Nike Dri-Fit apparel, Team USA gear
featuring the distinctive USA Track & Field National Team
Mark found on Team USA uniforms, hats, shirts, tights,
sweat shirts, wind suits and discounted gear. All USATF
members enjoy a 10 percent discount on all purchases.
USATF prefers VISA.
The extensive content of the web site - ranging from press
releases to athlete bios, an online calendar, membership
sign-up, a "members-only" section, and links to USATF's
committees including long-distance running and race walk
- has made www.usatf.org one of the most
useful informational tools in international track & field.
Currently featured at www.usatf.org are Olympic
Trials entries and qualifying status for athletes seeking entry
into the Trials. USATF posts live results, news stories and
photos from each stop on the Golden Spike Tour, and will
expand that coverage for the Olympic Trials.
Beginning June 28, USATF will count down the Top 25
Moments of the last 25 years in track & field. The top 25 list
is derived in part from fan voting at www.usatf.org .
