INDIANAPOLIS, IN (April 5, 2007) - The 2007 AT&T USA
Outdoor Track & Field Championships are less than 100
days away and many of the preparations are taking shape.
USA Track & Field, Indiana Sports Corporation and IUPUI
have announced the event schedule and that five hours of
competition will be televised. The television coverage is part
of a record package announced by USATF in January. The 2007 AT&T USA Outdoor Track & Field Championships
will be held June 20-24 at the Indiana University Michael A.
Carroll Track & Soccer Stadium on the campus of IUPUI.
Indianapolis also hosted the 2006 event with more than
33,000 fans in attendance over the five days.
The event, the final stop of the Visa Championship Series,
is also the qualifying meet for the 2007 IAAF World Outdoor
Championships in Osaka, Japan. Present and future
Olympians will compete for national titles at a venue that is
the home of four world records and considered one of the
fastest tracks in America. The 2007 Finish Line USA Junior
Outdoor Track & Field Championships will take place in
conjunction with the elite event.
