The High Performance Division of USATF is hosting the third annual Middle/Long Distance Summit in Las Vegas, Nev. Nearly 40 of the very best middle and long distance coaches will be on hand December 14-16 to exchange and share the most current and effective coaching/training methodology and science for middle and long distance runners. This very high qualitative and quantitative event is open to all interested coaches who would like to attend at their own expense, but without a registration fee.

"The Middle/Long Distance Podium Education Project is to bring together some of the best and most advanced minds and thinking about middle and long distance running," said Brooks Johnson, USATF High Performance Chair. "We have a special emphasis on those who have achieved success at the podium level."

Presenters will include Dr. Fabian Polo, Dr. Joe Vigil and Coaches Robert Gary and Terrence Mahon. Topics will include the areas of science, and coaching such as biomechanics, altitude training and peaking.
