Crowther & Udchachon Win USA 100K Championship
April 9, 2007
From USATF press release.

INDIANAPOLIS - Greg Crowther (Seattle, WA) won his second USA ultrarunning title of 2007, running 7:14:31 to win the USA 100K title at the Mad City 100K in Madison, WI on Saturday. Julie Udchachon (Eagle River, AK) took her first USA title, winning the women's division in 8:09:04.

Crowther overcame unseasonably cold conditions to out-pace renowned ultramarathoner, Scott Jurek (Seattle, WA) by 17:34.

The distance, 100 kilometers, just over 62 miles saw competitors running a scenic 10-kilometer course around Lake Wingra ten times. Over 50 ultramarathoners from around the country were entered.

The USA 100 km Championships prize purse featured $9,650 in prize money for the top six U.S. male and female finishers in the championships division. Crowther and Udchachon each took home $2,000 for their championship wins.
