Team USA, Hershey's Join Forces for International Youth Showcase

HERSHEY, PA. - Several of Team USA's medal-winning
stars will be joined by four living legends and some of
USATF's finest youth athletes in celebrating the 30th
anniversary of the Hershey's Track & Field Games at this
weekend's Hershey's International Finals, held Saturday at
the Milton Hershey School in Hershey, Pa. The pinnacle
event of the Hershey Track & Field Games, Saturday's
Finals bring together top athletes from all 50 states as well
as Canada and, for the first time, China, to compete in
age-graded competition. National Track & Field Hall of Famers Carl Lewis, Michael
Johnson, Bruce Jenner and Rafer Johnson are participating
in a full schedule of events, along with current Olympic gold
medalists Dwight Phillips, Monique Henderson, Derrick
Brew and Moushaumi Robinson; World Champion
Bershawn Jackson, two-time Olympic silver medalist
Terrence Trammell; reigning Visa Champion Tiffany
Williams; two-time Olympian Hazel Clark; two-time World
Championships finalist Jenny Adams; and NCAA and World
University Games gold medalist Miki Barber. Athletes and legends kicked off their Hershey experience at
Thursday night's Opening Ceremonies, conducting
autograph sessions and speaking at the Ceremonies. After
attending several Hershey events on Friday, they will
participate Saturday in three exhibition relays and honor the
young athletes participating in the Hershey's International
Finals on Saturday. A new addition to the International Finals are "International
Exhibition" races featuring USATF youth athletes chosen to
compete based on their performances at the 2007 USA
Youth Outdoor Championships in July. Dayvon Allen, Elias
Geydon, Kenyattia Hackworth, Kristaan Ivory, Jamias Jones,
Myer Krah, Laura McDowell, Khalfani Muhammad, Akawkaw
Ndipagbor, Christian Penn, Robin Reynolds, Raena Rhone,
DeAnthony Thomas and Taylor Williams will compete
against athletes from Canada and China. Events Saturday begin with a 5 km family walk/run at 8:30
