Black Coaches Association (BCA) to Host Meeting During Annual Meeting of USA Track & Field
November 29, 2006
From press release.

Membership diversity, expansion and collaboration will be key themes at BCA meeting.

INDIANAPOLIS - The BCA's mission in the community is to address issues that pertain to the participation and employment of minorities in sports. Throughout the BCA's 20-year history, we have been at the forefront of many efforts to enhance the employment opportunities and professional development of the minority professional. " The BCA meeting is part of USA Track and Field's continued efforts to collaborate with organizations that share similar values as it relates to the professional development of coaches, administrators, and athletes" per Floyd Keith, BCA Executive Director.

The annual Meeting of USA Track and Field will draw several hundred attendees during the dates of November 29th - December 4th to downtown Indianapolis. In conjunction with this meeting, the BCA will host a meeting sponsored by the US Army on Friday, December 1st, 2006 to provide awareness of BCA membership benefits for the members of USA Track and Field.

"We are excited about the opportunity to highlight the BCA's mission to the attendees of the USA Track and Field Annual Meeting," said Keith. Headquartered in Indianapolis, the BCA is committed to creating a positive enlightened environment and common grounds where issues can be examined closely, debated sincerely, and resolved honestly. The BCA's focus envelopes the concerns of its colleagues in professional sports, NCAA (Division I, II, and III), NAIA (Division I and II), junior college, high school and professional levels.
